We aim to be a community that supports women in living lives of dignity and respect, to model and empower communities that embrace rather than reject these women, and support them through their transformation.
We cannot do this alone, and believe that God intends for us to build His kingdom in the context of rich relationship. If you desire to be part of our community, there are several ways for you to get involved.
PrayWhen we place our trust in the unconditional love of Jesus and attempt to model that love for others, we see miracles happen.
Our foundation is first and foremost at the foot of the cross, and so we pursue God through prayer, allowing him to transform each of us from the inside. We are eager for partners in this - men and women who will intercede on our behalf and on behalf of the women and families that we befriend. And we further hope that this partnership would prove to be the beginning of dialogue and relationship reaching far beyond the streets of Manila.
Please consider partnering with us in this way. To remain aware of prayer requests and concerns, please subscribe to our newsletter.
As part of their training program, many of our women take part in learning new skills. Our livelihood partners sell goods and products that our women hand-produce. For our cards, we use natural, local, hand-made paper, and we use recycled materials whenever possible.
To see samples or to make a purchase, visit our livelihood partners with our thanks.
Why do we staff, volunteers and supporters continue doing what we do at Samaritana? Are we spared from hurt? Are we more sanctified? Do we heal better?
We survive in service because God uses us. He uses us despite our stumblings, despite our own brokenness, despite everything. Without him, we would be left with our stumblings and brokenness - but he makes something beautiful out of it.
Are you curious about what it might mean to journey with these women? Do you feel called to give of your talents? Would you like to learn more about how Samaritana approaches not only ministry, but life?
We would love to hear from you. Please call or email us at email@example.com.
Samaritana has been active for over 20 years, working to build and maintain friendships with women in the bars and on the street. This would not have been accomplished without the generous trust and faithful financial support of individuals and churches.
